Cary’s Tech Task Force Wants Your Opinion

Story by Hal Goodtree, Publisher at CaryCitizen and resident member at Cary Innovation Center.

Cary, NC – Calling all entrepreneurs, start-ups, techies and digital divas. The Technology Task Force is mapping out Cary’s future and your opinion is wanted.

Background: Technology Task Force

For too many years, Downtown Cary was a neglected area as neighborhoods grew around the perimeter of the town.

In the summer of 2011, Cary Arts Center opened on Academy Street. In March of 2012, Cary Innovation Center opened at the corner of West Chatham and Harrison.

In August of 2012, Cary’s Technology Task Force, a special committee created by Town Council, met for the first time.

I am a member of the Tech Task Force, or CaryTTF as it’s called.

Cary TTF Mission

The mission is to modernize, maybe even revolutionize, how Town of Cary does business and interacts with citizens on the web.

Your Opinion Wanted

The commission of CaryTTF is a short one. We report to Town Council in December. So we’re studing a lot of things very quickly.

We’ve started a website – CaryTTF.com – where we post ideas and questions about the technology future of Cary.
